Overview

A quieter journey into the highlands, from ancient terraces to a lakeside temple. Begin at Jatiluwih, a UNESCO rice landscape of wide, misty steps. Continue to Ulun Danu Beratan, the lake temple that seems to float on the water at Bedugul. Frame the famous Handara Gate, with its carved split doorway and garden. Climb to the Wanagiri twin-lake viewpoint, where two crater lakes sit in the forest, entrance free, and descend to Banyumala Waterfall, a series of falls in a cool ravine. Entrance tickets elsewhere are extra.

   We drive you north through Tabanan toward the cool highlands of Bedugul.

2. 10:00

   Jatiluwih

   A quiet walk among the UNESCO rice terraces of Jatiluwih.

3. 12:30

   Bedugul

   The lake temple of Ulun Danu Beratan, then the famous Handara Gate.

4. 15:00

   Wanagiri and Banyumala

   The twin lakes at Wanagiri, then the falls of Banyumala.

   Drop-off

   We return you safely to your hotel.
